This one is an entry from my youngest son's wife. She makes the most delicious Blonde Brownies. They are a favorite dessert every Christmas Eve. This year, or any other year as far as that goes, I won't be able to eat them, but I do want to share them with you. I have never made them, but she swears they are so easy to make ... so here it goes. NOW ... DON'T FORGET THE RULES ..... PICK A RECIPE, MAKE IT, TASTE IT, BLOG HERE ABOUT IT AND YOUR NAME GOES IN THE POT FOR THE DRAWING FOR THE AMAZING RELAY FOR LIFE COOKBOOK "RECIPES FROM THE HEART".
BLONDE BROWNIES
1 stick plus 3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 box light brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups flour
2teaspoons vanilla
6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup nuts
Mix all ingredients together. Do not over mix. Do not mix with electric mixer. Must mix by hand. Pour into greased 9" by 13" pan. Bake in 350 oven for 40 - 45 minutes.

I made the Blondie recipe for our Christmas get together my husband has wanted me to make them for years, but I couldn't find a recipe for them. They were delicous. They are now officially on our Christmas treat list. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Hazel ... YOU WON!!! The Blonde Brownies, I agree, are WONDERFUL! They are a favoriate with the whole family that my daughter-in-law makes each year ... we love them :-)
